About Our Story

Kaizen, the annual social festival of NSS IIT Delhi is a platform to recognize the continuous improvements in our society initiated and accelerated by the combined efforts of all socially motivated student bodies and NGOs across India and abroad.
Interaction and opinion sharing is the prime focal point of Kaizen. It aims at providing a single platform for exchange of a plethora of ideologies, stories & experiences of people who stood up against the tides and sailed through them, so that any idea or solution implemented at one place can also become success model for others.

Choose one of the following prompts and write a story/poem around that message:

2. In the future, illiteracy is the norm and implanted digital assistants convert text to audio. A child, who had his implant temporarily deactivated, learns to read. When the implant is reactivated, he realizes that what it reads to him is drastically different than what the text actually says.

Ideathon Social Innovation Challenge

About 1 lakh tonnes of solid waste is generated in India per day. With increasing populations, changing policy requirements, new sustainability and recycling goals and improved technology departments, this is only going to overshoot unless something concrete is done about it. NSS IIT Delhi invites you to its Ideathon- a Social Innovation Challenge 3.0 under the aegis of Kaizen’21!

We are sure after such a long pandemic lockdown, you won't miss a moment to go out for travelling with friends, filling the gaps of the past boring days you had alone sitting at home. But, have you ever wondered about the amount of waste that gets generated at public places during travelling, simply because of the lack of a proper waste disposal system ? Other than dustbins at some places, there isn’t anything concrete for the safe disposal of waste. Come up with solutions promoting cleanliness at all places and parts of life, being an active youth of the 21st century where innovation has no limits, what would be your response for such situations? There can be some basic innovations in tech or policy to make our public spaces waste free. For example, one such solution is an e-bin which sorts waste automatically using AI recognition.
You are required to come up with a model/idea and present it, through which this problem can be solved. The idea/model can be either Technological or Policy-based. Note that your idea/model should focus on the aforementioned problem.
